Hi, I'm Baily. With this course, I'm really excited to break down this very simple, but useful tool for you. Garageband is one of the most friendly DAWS out there to learn how to make music - especially a great-sounding demo. I've even seen full projects recorded and released on the Spotify exclusively recorded on Garageband.
Not only do I love producing my own music and other people's songs, but I also love teaching. I love to share to give back what I have learned so the concept of recording your own demo can be an easy thing for songwriters to do. People took the time to share with me - and now I get to share it with you.
In this course, we're going to learn about the gear you need to get started. You'll get links to the simple plug-ins and software I use to help make my demos sound fantastic. You're going to learn about recording techniques for guitar, keyboard and vocals. You'll learn how to quantize your instruments and even a little drum/percussion programming. You'll learn how to improve EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and a few other important effects to make a demo stand out.
I am really excited to get into this and share with you what I have learned. At the end of our time together in this course, I hope that you feel empowered to be able to make your own music. Even if you don't want to be a professional producer, this is course will be for you if you want to be able to make a demo for your song and feel confident about it. I know that at the end of this course, you'll be able to confidently make a demo for your song that you feel good about and are excited to share with other people. Are you ready?
